Radish Growing Tips and Advice

If you only have a little space in your garden, plant some radishes. Radishes, which grow quickly, need a cool season and loose, well-drained soil.

Planting Radishes

As soon as the soil can be worked in the spring, you can start growing your radishes. Make some furrows about an inch or so deep and then plant seeds 1/2 inch deep and 1 inch apart in the row. Cover lightly with loose soil and sprinkle with water. Plants should be up in 4 to 6 days.

Days to Harvest: 20-50 days
Days to Germinate: 3-10 days

Try a radish hot and sour soup.
