Mustard Greens Gardening Tips and Advice

This annual self-sows readily, especially when you use rich compost. Mustard thrives in sunny areas with moist and well-drained soil.

Planting Mustard Greens

Plant seeds in the spring or in the fall after the hottest weather 1/8 inch deep. Thin seedlings 9 inches apart. Harvest the seedpods in late summer before they dry, and allow the seed to ripen in the pods. You can usually harvest greens after 30 days.
